Muma, a Spanish-born artist in Lausanne, Switzerland, transforms his town into a scintillating paradise. "Allumons Lausanne!" (French for "Let's Light Up Lausanne!") attracted over 40,000 visitors on July 31, 2006 to absorb the spectacle created by over 127,000 candles placed in intricate patterns by 1,000 volunteers. The ancient Swiss town was transformed, bringing everyone together to appreciate what Muma calls "social art."
