We are moving out of the age of Pisces and into Aquarius. While I was already aware of that, today I made the connection of what that means for marriages. Pisces has an element of self-sacrifice involved in its influence which would match up with the old 50's style ideals of loyalty, perseverance and responsibility. Those are good qualities to have when you spend your life with one person and raise a family. There will be times when it doesn't feel so good to stick it out. Pisces was/is a crutch in those situations. It could have swayed, even if to a small degree, the mass logic and personal logic of the times. It strengthened marriage as a whole.
Now that we are shifting into Aquarius (and have been for decades) the story of marriage changes. We are not influenced into self sacrifice anymore and we are free to ask for what we want in a partnership. The break down of old roles leaves many confused and frankly, most people don't even know what they want. The transition into Aquarius will last for decades to come. It will be interesting to see what new mode of partnership arises out of the confusion.
