The recordings are great quality :) I honestly like Beirut doing Cohen better than Cohen himself. My boyfriend in high school used to take me home everyday in his old convertible 'Duncan' and play Leonard Cohen. Ever since then I've thought of his music as creepy. He just seemed like a dirty old man to me. I'm probably wrong, but memories hold fast.
