Sappho Does Hay(na)ku Hand-bound Edition

Sephyrus.com will be offering the Sappho Does Hay(na)ku, by Scott Keeney, hand-bound paperback edition in September. Scott writes poetry in many forms which can be read on his blog nobodyintherain and by following the links to his other blogbooks. His non-egoic pursuit in writing has excited me to publish one of his compilations. Sappho is a collection of 77 poems that deal in love, lust and sarcasm. For a better review than this check out Bill Keckler's blog, Joe Brainard's Pyjamas. Thanks Scott, for sharing yourself with us.

Eckhart Tolle

I've been listening to Eckhart Tolle's "A New Earth" audiobook. His soothing voice allows the info to seep into my brain. Listening to this kind of message keeps my ego in check much more so than if left to my own devices. I realized how much ego had gotten into Sephyrus (the candle shop) without any notice. My real purpose for having a business is to support artists who are present during their work. The kind of energy that is expressed when this non-ego, creative state happens is pure universal love. It can take any form; writing, painting, a candle, etc. So this purpose and ego don't mesh. Yay for Eckhart Tolle and his gentle reminders :)
